Privacy Policy
The short version
Privio does not collect, transmit or store your photos or any personal information. Everything happens on your iPhone.
Who is responsible
Privio is published by an individual developer, Bruno Florencio. Because Privio collects no personal data, the developer holds no information about you.
Your photos
Photos you open are read directly from your photo library and processed on your device. Face detection uses Apple's Vision framework locally. Blurring uses Apple's Core Image framework locally. Nothing is uploaded to any server, because Privio contains no networking code for photos at all.
When you save or share an edited photo, a temporary copy is written to Privio's private storage so the system can hand it to Photos or to the app you choose. That copy is deleted as soon as the save sheet closes.
Privio keeps no history of the photos you edit.
AI Enhance
AI Enhance increases a photo's resolution using a neural network that is built into the app and runs on your iPhone with Apple's Core ML framework. Your photo is not sent anywhere to be enhanced — there is no server, no cloud service and no external AI provider involved.
Metadata and location
Photos often carry hidden information: where they were taken, the camera's serial number, the owner's name. Every photo Privio saves or shares is rebuilt with only an approved list of information, and everything else is left out.
Location is always removed, on every plan, and there is no setting to keep it. Serial numbers, the camera owner's name and the camera maker's private notes are always removed too. In Settings you can choose to keep the date and time, the camera and lens, the photo settings, or the author and copyright notice; anything you do not choose is removed as well.
If you choose to keep any of these items, they stay in the saved photo and are visible to anyone you share it with; Privio itself sends them nowhere. Content-credential and provenance labels (such as C2PA) are always removed.
Usage counts
To apply the free and Plus limits without an account, Privio keeps a count of the photos you have saved, on your device only. For each counted photo it stores a SHA-256 fingerprint of the photo file — a one-way code that cannot be turned back into the photo — so that saving the same photo twice is not counted twice. To keep daily limits fair it also keeps the last reading of your iPhone's clock.
This information is kept in the device's secure Keychain, is not copied to other devices, is never sent to the developer or to anyone else, and is used for nothing else. A fingerprint identifies a photo file, not a person, but it is treated with the same care as personal information. It can remain on the iPhone after Privio is deleted, and is removed when the iPhone is erased.
Developer-only access
Privio contains an activation screen reserved for the developer's own devices. Only if that screen is opened, the app creates a random code on the device — it is not derived from your hardware, name or Apple Account — and keeps it in the Keychain. Nothing is sent anywhere unless the person who owns the device copies the code themselves.
Permissions
Choosing a photo uses the system photo picker, which needs no permission and shows Privio only the photo you pick. Saving asks for add-only photo access — permission to add new photos, not to read your library.
Purchases
Plans are sold through the App Store. Apple processes the payment; Privio never sees your payment details. Privio asks the App Store whether your Apple Account has an active plan, and stores nothing about you. There is no account to create and no email address to give. Apple's own privacy policy governs how Apple handles your payment and Apple Account.
Analytics and tracking
There are none. No analytics, no crash-reporting service, no advertising identifier, no tracking of any kind.
Your rights and choices
Privio has no account and the developer receives none of your data, so there is nothing held about you to access, correct, export or delete. What exists on your iPhone is under your control: you can change your settings at any time, and the usage counts are removed when you erase the iPhone. The developer does not sell or share personal information and does not use it for advertising.
Wherever you live, you keep the rights your local law gives you (for example under the GDPR, Brazil's LGPD or California's CCPA). To exercise them or to ask a question, write to privio.support@gmail.com.
Children
Privio is not directed at children and does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children under 13. The App Store age rating of 4+ reflects the app's content, not any collection of children's data. Plans can only be bought with an Apple Account, where parents can use Apple's Ask to Buy and Screen Time controls.
Changes to this policy
If Privio ever changes what it does with data, this policy will be updated before the change is released, and the version line at the top will change.
